2018 was a good year for gaming and PSVR has had a particularly good year.
Here are the games I've enjoyed the most this year.
1 Firewall Zero Hour
For first person shooters nothing can beat Firewall zero hour with the aim controller, there are so many amazing little details that help with the immersion.
Be careful with your gun, if it hits the wall it will make a noise giving your position away & sprinting makes you more visible on the mini map,
Watch your step, that sheet of wood your going to walk over makes your footsteps more audible.
The feeling you get when your the last person on your team alive and your going after the laptop knowing the enemies are waiting for you, having your team mates on camera giving you the enemy positions.
Check out this close match.
2 The Persistence
For horror fans this game is brilliant, sneaking through a freaky starship avoiding the monsters or attacking them head on, a nice variety of bad guys and weapons, a random deck layout, free modes added and an updated demo.
Heres a short clip of my playthrough of the updated demo.
3 Hitman 2
One of the few none vr games I've been playing this year. If you've played the first game then you know what your getting which is more of the same, which in Hitmans case is a very good thing.
The episodic nature is gone, you have a Sniper assassin mode and a 2 player versus ghost mode, if you have Hitman 1 you can play the original maps with the updated mechanics.
Best of all elusive targets are back, these one shot missions are what Hitman does best.
Heres me and Sean Bean.
4 Astro bot
Most people would probably put this game higher on the list, I've only played the demo, I enjoyed it a lot, I was tempted to pull the trigger and buy it but ultimately didn't, if your a big fan of platforners then this is the game for you.
Yet another video of me playing the demo.
5 Honor & Duty D-Day
I understand this game hasn't actually been released yet but I've played it so much in the various open beta's that it's one of the games I've had the most fun with this year, is there any other game you can be using the aim controller as your primary weapon and the move as your sidearm or knife, I even made my own bayonet by strapping my move to my aim before bayonets were even introduced to the game.
Honourable mentions go to Borderlands 2 VR and Beat Saber.
These are games I really wanted to try and would probably be on this list if I didn't have a limited game budget, these games are awesome check out their trailers below, I wish they had made the first levels available as a demo.
