Pistol whip was recently released for Sony's PSVR and it was certainly worth the wait.
The thing I found most interesting was the choice to make the default setting one handed, sure you can choose a second gun and go in dual welding but you will be hit with a score modifier.
Some games like Beat Saber have a one handed mode and others you may be able to get through with one hand (mental note, try Superhot VR one handed), but I like that in this game you can play the way the devs intended with one hand.
Pistol Whip is a very active game, there's the standard shooting aspect, the unexpected bullet dodging, sidestepping some barriers and ducking under others.
Thankfully the devs at Cloudhead Games have included options to remove barriers which will allow people with mobility problems to enjoy this game.
I'm not normally a fan of the type of music in this game but when ingame I couldn't stop myself from getting into the groove and enjoying myself.
After an hour of playing my arm was getting sore and I had to support my hand with my other hand, which I suppose is how your supposed to hold a gun.
I probably should have called it quits by then but I was close to finishing all the songs on easy and just decided to power through til the end.
The following day I could feel the usual soreness in my arms which showed I had a good gaming/workout session, what was surprising was the day after that I could feel soreness in my oblique muscles (sides of my "abs").
I've never had this from other games but then other games haven't had me dodging bullets and barriers as much as this game has.
I think I've recovered enough to try a run on normal next. This game is a serious workout and is serious fun.
If you like fitness games and on rails shooters then this game is a must have.
