The Persistence is an atmospheric horror for psvr, the main game was fun and survival mode was unlocked after the main game, sadly survival mode only added "complete game with only 10 clones".
The new update adds four new modes to enjoy and some new accessibility options.
1st is the obligatory new game+ called campaign+, keep your equipment and upgrades, harder enemies, no supersence and an even more relentless bloodhound.
To help with this challenge you change upgrade your stats even further and find new platinum gear.
2nd is the hinted at 1hp mode called glass cannon. 1hp point and no med kits, 24 rooms of increasing difficulty between you and the escape pod, your only advantage is any 1 gun with infinite ammo, bad news is you cant retreat as doors lock behind you.
3rd is a stealth mode called first blood, get to the escape pod on the other side of the deck, Peacekeeper knife only.
4th is the campaign with permadeath, no clones, to make it easier the deck porters can access all decks and recovery,.
My favourite challenge on the original persistence was my own permadeath mode, if you died you had to restart, there were many times I wished the deck porters worked to all decks, it took a long time walking back to recovery a lot.
New accessibility modes included too.
